god's will vs your free-will
"It's because of my circumstances", "it's him/her", "it's because of the government", and finally, it's "God's will". The denial of our responsibilities is in the way of true joy.
CULTURAL
Denying responsibilities gives leeway to complacency. It has spread in each area of our lives, and those who dare look inward quickly realize that the choice to surrender our sovereignty has deep personal and cultural consequences. Most of the time, avoiding or denying responsibility has become a habit so strong it's hard to pinpoint it consciously. Saying things like "this is just the way I am" is another way to deflect responsibility to keep evolving and adapt to new circumstances calling for our growth. Are you blaming the government, the institution and the systems for educating your children? Pointing to your neighbour or your parents for the things happening in your life? In which area of your life are you deflecting responsibilities? Ultimately by deflecting our own responsibilities, we are pushing the responsibility of our disconnection with self and God outward.
True joy and happiness can only be reached by fully honing in on your circumstances.
What is God's will, then?
God's will is the perfect working of the universe(s) energies always working out to enable each being to grow. The influence comes from all there is, and is ultimately contributed by our own sequence of choices, actions, thoughts, habits and so forth. Putting our life into God's will isn't really a choice, it simply is. But when you consciously understand that your life is under God's will, you acknowledge your total responsibility of actions and the ripple effect these actions will have on your future. God's will is the unavoidable, perfect and synchronized working of all the energies at play in any given situation.
To illustrate this concept, imagine jumping off a building. In mid-flight, you express that the result of your jumping is in God's hands. You live on earth, where there is the law of gravity, and you will soon reach the ground. Your free will was to jump off the building. God's will is the perfect workings of the laws that govern the universe in which we live. In this case, God's will is for you to hit the ground. Not because He wishes to punish you but because your free will chose that outcome, and God's workings are perfect. This example exemplifies the energies at play. But it goes into a much more subtle area of our life. What if you refuse to make decisions? Refuse to commit to any outcome? Saying "it's God's will" doesn't cancel out your responsibility, and your inaction or refusal to decide is a choice that will bear its consequences. These consequences will indeed be God's will through your free will.
Your free will dictates precisely how God will respond.
It is difficult for many to assume full responsibility of their life. Thinking it's easier that way is an illusion because it feels like you are a victim of your life rather than at the reign of it. It feels out of our control while it's a design we created. The key to living in ecstatic joy and surrendering to God's will is to fully assume that we create life with every moment and that preserving our hearts is our priority.
Surrendering to God's will doesn't mean that you "give up" but instead that your expectations are broader, open to receive the infinite abundance you were born for, unlimited by your judgement of what you can or cannot receive.
Live your best life, cultivate joy and happiness in every moment, give up your addiction to suffering and open yourself to the possibilities. Nourish your mind, feed your soul. Let yourself be the creator you were born to be. Be aware that you are always choosing. Every moment is a choice, and you live with your creation.
God is calling for your sovereignty again and again. You are called to grow and evolve, and ultimately, you are called to go back to God. You are called to LOVE and live in the ecstasy of His presence.
With so much love,
